General Information

The 2024 Women’s Environmental Leadership Summit is a two-day virtual event hosted by Smithsonian’s Center for Environmental Justice at the Anacostia Community Museum. It will take place from October 18-19, 2024 via Zoom meetings. The summit aims to bring together individuals for mentorship, education, training, and leadership opportunities in the field of environmental justice.

All panel sessions and workshops will be available virtually via Zoom. Online engagement options will be provided. Zoom links will be provided once you are registered for a panel.

Registration

You can register for the summit on this website. Provide the necessary personal information, including your area of work, organizational affiliation, and any accessibility requirements.

No, the event is free to attend for all participants.

While there is no specific registration deadline, we ask you to register as soon as possible so we can prepare our speakers.

There is no registration limit or waitlists, we welcome all!

Sessions and Workshops

During the registration process, you can select the sessions and workshops you wish to attend. You can modify your session choices later if needed.

All sessions and workshops will be available virtually. Links to join the virtual sessions will be provided in the agenda on the website.

Accessibility and Accommodations

Yes, we offer various accessibility accommodations for our sessions. 

Closed captions will be available for all panels and workshops via the Zoom closed captions feature.

American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation is also available but must be requested by October 3, 2024. To request, please indicate in your registration form. If you have already registered, you may edit your form on the 'My Dashboard' page.

Please indicate any additional accommodations needed during the registration process.

Participation and Engagement

You can sign up to receive email updates from the Smithsonian’s Center for Environmental Justice at the Anacostia Community Museum about the summit and other events related to environmental justice. During registration, you will have the option to opt-in for these communications.
