Connect

Smithsonian’s Center for Environmental Justice at the Anacostia
Community Museum is excited to expand upon our legacy of creating a space of sharing, resources, and networking to highlight the work of more communities across the environmental justice field.

There will be numerous partners and organizations joining us, both within the Smithsonian Institution and across the globe present. We will continue to showcase the multifaceted nature of environmental justice and the work of those to advance equitable access in communities.

Learn

Throughout 24 sessions, we will be reflecting on the origins of the environmental justice field, celebrating the work of today, and creating opportunities and platforms for the work of tomorrow.

In particular, attendees will have the opportunity to explore the themes
of science and research, international stories, and Native American
perspectives and lived experiences.

Thank you

The Women’s Environmental Leadership Summit is a unique experience for all individuals to come together for mentorship, education and training, and leadership opportunities. We strive to include leaders from across generations, cultures, communities, and backgrounds to share and problem-solve around some of the biggest environmental justice issues of today.

We look forward to an enriching and inspiring experience that will continue to show the power of change through science in a humanities-led framework and community engagement. Thank you for investing your time and sharing your passion and expertise to create a more just and equitable environmental future for all.
