Suzanne Worrica has been involved with Wild in the City for over five years, most recently as Head of Land and Conservation Relationships. Her focus is on developing sustainable and collaborative partnerships with land custodians, rewilders, woodland managers and others to increase access to green spaces and woodlands across the UK so that people of colour can feel at ease in nature and view nature as part of their rightful heritage. She is passionate about opening up welcoming spaces for people of colour and doing her bit to help break down some of the psychological and physical barriers black and other racialised groups face when accessing nature.
Suzanne is also an experienced Gestalt psychotherapist, Group facilitator and trainer working within psychotherapy training institutions. She holds an enduring faith in the power of nature to bring healing and relief for people and their communities.
