CLEO Strategies for Meaningful Advocacy and Engagement via Youth and Community Programs

Join us for an insightful workshop co-hosted by two of CLEO’s leading voices in community and youth engagement: Bereatha Howard, the Miami lead for CLEO’s Empowering Resilient Women program, and Alika Esperson, the Miami-based leader of the genCLEO Youth Empowerment Movement.

In this workshop, participants will explore proven strategies for meaningful advocacy and engagement through youth and community programs. Bereatha Howard will share her experiences working with frontline community members, particularly in underserved areas of Miami. She will discuss the importance of amplifying these voices and how tailored communication can effectively address the unique needs of communities disproportionately affected by climate change.

Alika Esperson will bring insights from her work energizing high school and college students across Florida, empowering them to advocate for bold climate action. Together, they will demonstrate how to build and sustain impactful programs that inspire real change and resilience within communities.

This workshop is designed for individuals and organizations looking to deepen their advocacy efforts by engaging youth and communities, especially those most vulnerable to environmental and climate challenges.
