Description

Founded in honor of Charles Davonte Roundtree, Jr. The Charles Roundtree Bloom Project was inspired the transformative and healing outdoor experiences had by Founder and Director Ki’Amber Thompson after moving to California for college. Inspired by the healing, sense of purpose, and vision for community through these moments, Ki’Amber started the program as a way to care for youth impacted by the incarceration system in San Antonio. Today The Charles Roundtree Bloom Project is an outdoor healing justice program for youth impacted by incarceration in Yanaguana/San Antonio, Texas. Panel discussion will explore the origins of the organization, its areas of focus, impacts thus far, and the implications of the engagement of young women in environmental spaces and issues.
