Lisette Perez is an environmental educator and advocate from Chicago. She has worked in the largest forest in the country, the Tongass National Forest, where she educated the public about Alaskan cultural and natural history. Lisette has also contributed to advancing marine policy along the Oregon Coast and has been actively involved in various environmental initiatives throughout Chicago. She is passionate about fostering community through education and storytelling, aiming to create spaces where all voices are heard and valued. As an active member of the National Environmental Youth Advisory Council (NEYAC) for the EPA, she has further connected with frontline communities, understanding the needs of the communities she is fighting for. She also works with Zero Hour, a global youth-led organization fighting for a livable planet, to educate and advocate for fossil fuel divestments. Lisette brings her unique perspective as a young Latina leader committed to reimagining environmental spaces that are accessible and inclusive for all.
