Sebrena Rhodes is a DC Native, born and raised in the Deanwood area of Washington DC. She has her associate degree in early childhood education. Sebrena worked for 11 years as lead Head Start Teacher at Rowan-Salisbury Community Action Agency in Salisbury, North Carolina. In DC, she serves as a Community Organizer with Empower DC for three years in the Ivy City neighborhood where she is a resident, served on the Community Advisory Board for Unity Health Care, a leader with Friends of Crummell, Community Coordinator for Empower DC’s Ivy City Clubhouse, and is currently serving as ANC Commissioner for the Ivy City community (5D02). Sebrena is a mom of 6 and has 9 grandchildren who she is very passionate about. Standing up for the rights of the people has always been her beliefs along with her friends and neighbors.
