Classrooms in their various forms will be essential to the cultural shift needed to comprehend and successfully address the impacts of climate change. These critical spaces can equip the next generation of environmental leaders with the knowledge, and tools needed to translate their goals and ideals into action. Discussion will explore the essential role of culture and education in the development of climate literacy, advocacy, and activism. The session will also explore what is needed to support the efforts of educators and youth willing to be engaged in these efforts and highlight work being done that furthers the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
